The US recording industry counts 1,500 streams as the equivalent of one album sale – which in the case of The Life of Pablo would equal about 267,000 albums. After tons of speculation, numerous name changes, several sequencing switch-ups, and some last-minute delays not. Kanye Wests new album The Life of Pablo has only been available through streaming on Tidal, but thats finally changed as the LP is now available for download. The album’s official release – it is also available to download from his website for $20 (£14) – comes after West’s impressive Tidal streaming figures were made public earlier this week. Kanye’s statement received a lot of pushback from fans, several of whom had already noticed the various unauthorized copies of The Life of Pablo that have been floating around on the Internet.
